Industry-Specific ERP Solutions and Extensions

Every industry has its own processes, workflows and business requirements. We extend ERP systems with industry-specific functionality, ready-to-use solutions and proven applications tailored to the way your business actually operates.

An ERP System Built for Your Industry

Every business needs to manage finance, sales, purchasing, inventory and manufacturing. But the way these processes work in practice can vary significantly from one industry to another.

A transport and logistics company has different requirements from a manufacturer, printing company or a business managing a large and complex product portfolio. That is why a standard ERP system may not always be enough.

Industry-specific ERP combines core ERP capabilities with sector-specific functionality, workflows and tools designed around the needs of a particular business. Instead of adapting your processes to generic software, you get an ERP system that supports the way your company actually works

Business Central as the Foundation of Your Industry-Specific ERP

For our industry-specific ERP solutions, we primarily use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, a modern ERP solution that connects core business processes – from finance, sales and purchasing to inventory, manufacturing, project management and service.

One of the key strengths of Business Central is its flexibility and extensibility. Standard ERP functionality can be enhanced with ready-to-use industry solutions, specialized apps, integrations and custom extensions tailored to your specific business requirements. At the same time, you retain a common ERP core and benefit from the broader Microsoft ecosystem.

The result is a connected and scalable ERP solution that can grow with your business and adapt to changing processes, without having to build everything from scratch.

Every business has different needs. Together, we’ll find the right combination of ERP, industry-specific solutions and extensions to match the way your business works.

When Standard ERP and Extensions Are Not Enough

Every business has unique processes and requirements that may not be fully covered by standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, an industry-specific ERP solution or existing extensions.

When that happens, we can provide custom Business Central development and integrations tailored to your specific needs. Our approach is to make the most of standard functionality and proven extensions first, and use custom development only where it delivers real business value. This may include custom workflows, process automation, reporting, specialized functionality or integrations with other business systems.

Beyond Business Central, we also deliver solutions and applications for other Microsoft Dynamics 365 products that help digitalize and automate additional business processes.

Frequently Asked Questions about Business Central

Can we add Business Central extensions gradually after implementation?

Yes. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is designed to be extended over time, so you do not need to implement every feature from the start. You can begin with standard Business Central functionality and gradually add industry-specific solutions, specialized apps and extensions as your business requirements evolve.

Can one Business Central environment support multiple companies or legal entities?

Yes. Business Central supports multiple companies, which can represent separate legal entities or business units. For more complex corporate groups and international organizations, however, the structure of companies and environments should be designed carefully, taking into account localizations, integrations, data requirements and future system management.

How do we choose the right Business Central extensions for our company?

Start with the business processes and requirements you want to improve, rather than with a list of available apps. Then determine whether each requirement is best covered by standard Business Central functionality, an existing extension, an industry-specific solution or custom development. The goal is not to install as many apps as possible, but to create the right combination for your business.

Can too many Business Central extensions cause problems?

Potentially, yes. Every extension adds functionality that needs to be managed, maintained and kept compatible with the rest of your Business Central environment. A large number of extensions can increase system complexity and make testing and upgrades more demanding. Some extensions may also affect performance depending on how they are designed and used. We therefore recommend installing extensions only where they provide clear business value.

Can we use Business Central extensions from different vendors?

Yes. Business Central extensions from different vendors can be combined, but their compatibility, dependencies, support model and technical requirements should be reviewed before implementation. For third-party apps, it is also important to understand whether they connect to external services, where data is processed or stored, and who is responsible for ongoing support and development.

How should new Business Central extensions be tested before going live?

New functionality and extensions should first be tested in a Business Central sandbox environment. This allows you to verify functionality, integrations and dependencies with other business processes without affecting your live production environment and day-to-day operations.

What happens to our data if we uninstall a Business Central extension?

It depends on the app and how it is designed. By default, uninstalling a Business Central app does not delete its data, which means the data can remain available if the app is installed again. Business Central also provides an option to delete extension data during uninstallation. Before removing an extension, you should therefore review what data it uses, whether other apps depend on it and whether the data needs to be retained.

Can we combine standard Business Central, industry-specific solutions and custom development?

Yes. In many cases, this is the most effective approach. Standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central can provide the core ERP functionality, complemented by industry-specific solutions and selected extensions. Custom development can then be used only for processes that are genuinely unique to your business and cannot be efficiently covered by an existing solution.
