Data Protection (AIP)

Microsoft Azure Information Protection (AIP) is part of the broader Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystem and provides tools to improve the security and management of information and documents in organizations.

Data classification and labelling

AIP enables organizations to define classification policies for identifying sensitive information. This classification can be based on document content, labels, or a combination of both. Users can label documents at creation according to predefined classifications, which improves awareness of the importance of information.

Data encryption

AIP provides the ability to automatically encrypt sensitive data. This means that even if a document leaves the corporate network, it remains encrypted and protected. Encrypted data can only be decrypted by authorized users or systems, minimizing the risk of sensitive information being leaked.

Access management

AIP enables you to define policies for managing access to documents. Administrators can set who has the right to read, edit or share a document. Dynamic policies allow you to adjust the level of access based on current conditions, such as user location or device status.

  • A comprehensive security tool for organisations
  • Effective protection of companies and their data
  • Managing sensitive information and documents in a digital environment

Integration with Microsoft 365

AIP is integrated with other services within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, making it easier and simpler to manage sensitive information. Using AIP, organizations can take advantage of additional security features and analytics tools provided by Microsoft 365.

Audit tracking

AIP maintains audit trails of user activity related to sensitive data. This allows for the tracking, analysis, and evaluation of security events.
