European Healthcare Digitalization – My Health at My Hands
The myHealth@myHands project provides EU citizens with secure online access to their health data and greater control over how it is shared.
What is the myHealth@myHands project about?
The myHealth@myHands project aims to fundamentally transform digital healthcare across the European Union by 2030. Its primary objective is to ensure that all EU citizens have secure online access to their medical records, enabling them to manage their health more effectively. The project strengthens the role of individuals by giving them control over their health data, allowing them to decide who can access this information, while also providing personalized health support.
By integrating existing healthcare infrastructures with MyHealth@EU services, the project seeks to enhance data interoperability and enable seamless cross-border healthcare delivery throughout the EU. It focuses on the development of user-friendly, secure, and flexible eHealth solutions designed with a strong emphasis on user needs, ensuring effective implementation and scalability.
The project also includes the establishment of a knowledge hub to share best practices and foster collaboration within the healthcare community. myHealth@myHands addresses the challenge of fragmented data access and aims to ensure efficient and cohesive healthcare delivery across Member States. Through these initiatives, the project seeks to significantly strengthen the overall healthcare ecosystem for the benefit of all EU citizens.
